vUSCG is assisting local agencies with an unexpected flooding of the lower Mississippi River. Port Sulphur down through Venice is experiencing serious flooding, and areas of downtown New Orleans has severely damaged infrastructure. vUSCG will be deploying multiple rotary and fixed wing assets. Local politicians are planning a press conference downtown, and vUSCG will also provide VIP services. SAR, MEDEVAC, resupply and escort operations will be conducted.
